Humanity.
What a sad yet wonderful state of creature being.
Filled with thoughts both negative and positive.
Dangerous destructive feelings.
Humanity.
The good,
The bad,
The evil,
The ugly and the indifferent.
What a piece of Divine and Devilish work is Man.
All the hopes and fears.
All the joy and elation.
Doubts and hesitation and strange fascination.
Humanity.
Fighting wars for noble and righteous causes.
Curing incurable diseases.
Buliding homes for the homeless.
Clothing the naked.
Nourishing the underfed.
Putting shoes upon the soles of naked feet.
Suing for treaties of peace.
All good acts done by
Humanity.
And yes it's true that we've had peace in the United States,
Canada and Great Britain.
But the operative words are peace here and now,
But in other parts of the world,
That is clearly not the case.
Serenity's scene shifts
As foul political winds blow and circulate ethnic hatred, greed and discontentment.
Flashes of bright light and explosive thunder.
People blown to bits.
City streets reduced to concrete rubble and smoldering ashes in an instant.
Entire civilizations lost in only a matter of minutes to the weapons of war
Deployed to settle a diplomatic score.
For you see,
Violence is the flower of
Humanity.
And war brings about such utter desolation and waste.
What a shameful and disgraceful deed of destruction
Committed by the hands and the well-laid plans
Of humanity.
