What is a gift?
A gift could be anything, as long as it comes from the heart.

It could be a kiss on the cheek or kissing after dark.
You don’t have to pay for it for it to be considered thoughtful.
Think about somebody doing your chores for you not just something they bought you.
It could be a smile that you longed for on a real hard day.
The day you lost someone and was crying for help, but no one looked your way.
It could be a hug without all that phony space in between.
It could just be a friend giving you a shoulder in which to lean.
It could be a song dedicated to you on the radio that took almost a million calls.
It could be a retry at a relationship that had a million falls.
It could be the thought of you when a certain song comes on.
It could be somebody trying to make you happy, by telling you you’re right when you’re wrong.
It could be a poem that someone wrote just because they thought of you.
It could be your mate trying to love something they hate just because you want them to.
It could be a slap on the behind from a parent that’s fed up with your misbehavior.
It could be you sleeping with a prostitute, but she decides you shouldn’t pay her.
It could be almost anything not just the finer things maybe a smoker trying to quit.
