It’s my winter wonderland
Amidst the clutching summer heat
Racing across the shifting skies
So weightless and blinding
Showing illusionary perfection in layers
Rolling, flowering, sprinkling,
Into a heavenly manner so pure and ripe,
Falling just above grasp of touch
Bringing mystery to its floating stance
Its gaps fill up with kisses of stars beyond
Though back with the aqua terrain beneath
And highlights of earth’s majesties
All in thanking of its pleasant shade
Against the sun’s burning glaze
Thus angering her violent rays
Into a heightened state of anxiety
That only further indulges the brightness
Of its cotton candy whiteness
Now so pure of shadows ahead,
But underneath, crawling to every end
Blanketing the world into a false dusk
Longing for its quilt to flip
And bring unto us all,
My artificial winter wonderland,
That can only be seen from high in the air.
