Her last kiss leaves me in awe
Silky lips and sweet brown eyes
Gazing at me from the seat next to me
As she rushes away through the alley to home
Her mother can know nothing of this
Lest we both should die
I have my girl, that’s all I need
We’d spend each day together if possible
Alas all we have is a few hours each week
Not enough to let feelings flow as they should
And not enough to truly enjoy each other
It’s not her fault, it’s not my fault
It just happens I guess
Though I believe we have a good thing going here
A grand relationship when no other will do
We all need a good change of luck from time to time
I believe I just had mine
Author notes
Not the most organized or best looking poem, but I'm tired of trying so hard with poetry, I just want to write
