He who made light and pulsing rhythms: particles
aching to implode or explode;
bits of humanity and spirituality
needing to cling; to music that is sung
by whales, and stars, and unseen Universes
he knows
magnetism and momentum
of drawing one to another
and gathering up
of secrets and small sputtering lights
who need but some small flare
to warm them again.
I am a dark star
curling in on myself
open to finding a new story,
a new song, a new tale.

I love your words, my Friend...but I could never even imagine you as a "dark star". A brilliant light in the sky, yes. A luminous guide to follow, of course. Yes, we all have our dark moments...but your torch within will never go out. Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.

I always seem to have some small briliant coal just waiting to flare up again..thank goodness, I can not imagine being dark for long.

ah the mystery of the dark star, birth place of the new beginning or just a cinder in the endless night. Perhaps a reminder of the black hole it gave to. Black holes to this universe maybe flares of energy in another. So much we see and still we barely know at all. What will we learn from all our efforts if we don't first learn to be good with one another.

Love, Tom B.
