The Five Days of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas my landlord sent to me

a note saying "rent is not free!"

On the second day of Christmas he followed with a plea

"Please send a payment

as I told you the rent is not free!"

On the third day of Christmas my landlord cautioned me

"I've informed the bailiffs,

please send a payment

as I told you the rent is not free!"

On the fourth day of Christmas my landlord angrily

issued me a summons,

"I've informed the bailiffs,

please send a payment

as I told you the rent is not free!"

On the fifth day of Christmas a policeman came and he

ARRESTED ME!!!

Took me to the station

locked me in a cell

threw away the key

and told me I could stay there for free!!!!

This is hilarious!! You did a wonderful job with each progressive day just adding to what was said the day before, and yet all making perfect sense. Absolutely brilliant, funny and a definate gold in my book!

LOL Oh my! This is a really funny one that you have here written here! You didn't even have to tell me that it was to the tune of the 12 days of Christmas because I picked up on that pretty quick. I laughed because I know what it's like to be there and I liked how you mostly just stayed with the landlord and the rent. This was cute and clever and I'm glad that I ran across it.

Looks like someone won't be having too jolly a Christmas, though at least the rent's free. Nice job, the continuity and rhyme scheme made it a fun reader.
