Spiritual Breathing

Impressionable shadows, led by a flare,

the revenant dance in darkness of a stare.

Bellowing words from a familiar song,

desperately searching for a path leading on.

Seduced by warmth and white of the light,

aimlessly wandering, on through the night.

Kissing ambitous souls of the dreaming,

finally aware of life's reverance and meaning.

Looming the room of a mother's child at birth,

harmonious spirits breath for a newborn earth.

    really good write

really liked these two lines, "Bellowing words from a familiar song, desperately searching for a path leading on.", like the open door that we look to have reason in things we hear in songs but are inspired in our own version of what we look for but don't really see. and leads into the wandering dreams and meaning and the breath of lifes spirit. very thought provoking and full of meaning.

This was an excellent write, very deserving of the Gold. I like this one allot. thanks for sharing.

This is probably based on hope than actual. And from this conclusion of mine, I am observating it was a break up of a relationship, that all the plans went out of the window! That is the feel, and there is always a penalty for predicting what was in the poets mind.

Well, my friend, I wouldn't go as far as saying there are penalties for predicting, that's the whole joy of reading poetry I do believe. I feel safe saying that, cause I know the feelings that come to me when reading good poetry, maybe something totally different of what the writer intended, and that, my friend is the magic of words. It's what we intend to find for ourselves that draw us in, hands reach out of those words and hold us by both cheeks until that last word. What we see in our own live's that bring us to the point of our view.
As for the poem, you are absolutely correct in your observation, my fine poet friend. Thank you for seeing that. It's all the more amusing.

I absolutely love this piece--you pen your emotions flawlessly. Wonderful flow, and absolutely beautiful word usage. Your words resound with feeling and a sense of the unknown. I love what you did with the given prompt.

"Seduced by warmth and white of the light,
aimlessly wandering, on through the night." Beautiful and powerful.

This is hauntingly beautiful. Keep writing poet! As a side note...I don't think ambitionous is a word. I had not heard it before and looked it up on word web and it is not there. ***Pam***

your close to my heart with this, We so need a earth made new. I think it is perfect. I do not care for the special effects because they take away from the elegance and beauty of the poem . It stands alone very well.Thank you for sharing it with me.
