I see a quatro-phallic, alien bee god
landing on a sea of articulating glass,
gathering molten metal,
for the hives of Mercury.
I see a ferris wheel,
that never stops spinning,
on which children grow old,
knowing only tin-whistle and accordion.
I see boiling sand rivers,
flowing through a life
crafted by patience and pain,
knowing beauty in light.

last night I dreamt I was stuck on a ferris wheel....I immediatly woke up and consulted my dream book (I know, get a life, right?) but anyway...nothing....I was like , hmmmm....whats that damn ferris wheel dream mean anyway? and then I remembered this poem of yours and yep....I think it was my subconcious telling me it was about time to get on over here and tell you enough is enough, get to writing. Give me something new and fresh to read so I dont have to go through all that and leave comments longer than your poems.... I cant believe I never commented on this one before....not that this is much of a comment as it is me rambling on and on and on...
well, I do like the poem and think it was plenty worth that gold trophy. But then again, I love everything you write.
Hope all is well.

rich take on the prompt picture, and a well-written poem. You really let the prompt take you away, thank you so much for this entry. I liked /sea of articulating glass/, so clever, but the children growing old on the ferris wheel worried me. The final line is my favourite.
