the way you look through those eyes
you break and make the hearts of many
precious as stones
twice as strong
as the raging waters
creeping up behind
the moment that your spirit turns
turns your back on the tide
One split second
One wrong move
A word to shatter silence
& I'm guessing it's the remnants in your eyes
thats making them sparkle like diamonds
like adding glitter to a veil of stars
At sweet midnight
you curl beneath the moon
like the gracious willow where you're weeping
the moment that you're sure they're sleeping
the World
on your shoulders
& you carry us so gracefully
It's a miracle to pray you've never fallen
lighter than a feather
bright with crystal dust
slipping slowly through the cracks
of an angels touch
smoother than the drizzling spring night
softer than the breeze
reflecting every second
& the moment tends to freeze
colder than a whisper
from a morbid tongue
weaker than emotions of the young
Mr.Sunshine
take a slower breath
listen to the mumbling pitter patter of my chest
place the burden in my arms, the way that you hold mine
waiting for the rise of dawn

This has some really great imagery. I love poems that challenge me as a wrighter. This poem really did. The story and chose of words is the best thing about this poem, it’s not just what you have to say that matters but how you say it, I think you deserve this gold

YES. Right fucking on. This is awesome. I have been in these shoes... God only knows how many times. I like that you used the picture... I didn't like the little saying on it... but no worries. Thank you for using more than one of the options too, another nice touch. If you don't mind me asking, how did you change the lighting of the picture?
