Garden

Looking out at the garden
my window open as I see the
purpleish blue of the Iris
smiling as I see the crocus
hiding behind the fence

Hearing the children next door
asking when they can come over again
standing up to go water my garden
holding the can as it gently
rains on the rouge red roses

Dripping onto the delicate daises
sitting down in the garden
checking to see if everything is healthy
smiling at the buzz of bees

Love this piece. The imagery is great, I felt as though I was there. Flowed really well too! Great job and good luck in the contest

This is a wonderful poem about taking care of your garden. I love the second stanza when you talked about listening to the kids next door... That was a nice touch. I like how you ended the whole thing with "smiling at the buzz of bees". Nice work!

    Thank you for your entry.

    Always,
    Cassie
