(In Memory of Jamie Patey)
He’s only away
Not gone forever
He’s in memory to stay
He was a great father, husband, and son
And his life had only just begun
At only 18 he met his true love
He treated her like she was from heaven above
And when they got married it was a day to remember
For all of their life, for ever and ever
He had a great life
And tons of friends
He had a great wife
To hold till the end
So remember…
He’s only away

Oh his little boy and his little girl
He treated them like they were the world
They loved him so very much
Never thought it would end like this
Couldn’t even give him one last kiss
His mom and dad raised him well
If you ever met him you could easily tell
And we will never forget until we die
That thoughtful man who was a great guy.

Commentary
The misgivings that life hands us all is one of mystery and intrigue. Nevertheless, can one not grieve for someone who was close themselves.
Emotionally, this write speaks on a level where everyone who was close to use, can easily relate to. Poetically, the same feelings are felt as well as an insight to whom the person was when he/she were alive. Keep penning
