Regrets

There is much to regret in this life;
So much that causes strife.
Causing unhappiness where there could be more,
Always the same as before.

Some say, “won’t get in that mess again”.
Can’t say I really blame them.
But, LORD how it hurts to hear,
Answers cold and not dear.

Though I know life before has been hell;
It still won’t sit very well.
That because of what went on before,
There’ll be distrust forever more.

Yes, my heart breaks and cries,
Even as I watch a possibility die.
Of something that with work could’ve been good,
Being lost beyond redemption, if you would.

There is no one alive left to blame;
So Lord, it’s really a shame.
What’s done has been done,
Guess just as well pick up and run.

No one knows how sorry I am,
That it was all such a sham.
It is really nobody’s fault,
These experiences had this result.

My dear, I just want you to know,
I just wish it had not been so.
My wish for you is,that you WILL find happiness,
I want God to do no less than BLESS.

Author notes

Consider this a tearfull goodbye and many best wishes. I tryed not to, but I had to. May God give you blessings you so richly deserve and happiness to match. I'm so sorry it couldn't be....

    Your heart rules the mind and then the mind deciphers the hurt in this poem. In order to go on, we must realize it is really no ones fault, it is just the way it is at times. You are such a nice person and deserve so much.
