deep in natures womb
fertile seed, turned to bloom
emerged into a world of doom
withered and died, much too soon
yet death couldn't hold her in a tomb
for beauty, you see...there was no room
barren, but for a season...her life resumed

All seven lines rhyming with the same sound and creating a pedestal for your picture to stand on! I like that. You have expressed nature in a loving way with deep metaphors. Interestingly I feel the rhyme sound "oom" tends to add a certain sombre feel to the piece but I like that. I read this slowly and it is a beautiful piece. Thank you so much for your entry...alby

For everything a time and place. The changing beats in the poem counter point nicely the mono rhyme. The images of dispair prepared for a season of hope. Well done. Love, Tom B.
