He makes me feel like the stars could burn out
the moon could fade
the sun could set one last time
and still I'd see the light
in his eyes
I find something more precious
deeper than the seven seas
something truer than the written word
on his lips
are the many flavors of desire
from honey to whipped cream
& chocolate kisses
are never as sweet
as his
my sugar coated oxygen
The feel of his hand
It's singing to my skin
whispering its secret
"I wish to hold you."
softer than silk
carried as the fallen leaves
delicate as my heart
in Autumn
I'd bring envy to the trees
flames burning brightly
on a smiling face
because when he looks at me that way
I know he thinks I'm beautiful
as pearl
as Winter
wilting roses
they bow before our loveliness
fading together
each petal falling like grains of sand
makes one day more breathtaking than the last
in Spring
when soil parts to lick the stem of daisies
drowning in the rain happily
only to feel dew drops, cascading streaks of reflection
emerald
as Summer
his eyes that shift from blue
easily as the tides fall
and while I'd surrender to one more dream
I lie awake a little longer
wondering how a soul spends eternity
believing in heaven
without seeing him smile.
the moon could fade
the sun could set one last time
and still I'd see the light
in his eyes
I find something more precious
deeper than the seven seas
something truer than the written word
on his lips
are the many flavors of desire

Author notes
I love my boyfriend. <3 I waited three years to be with him because we were both shy, but everyone who knew us or saw us together figured that we would date sooner or later and we finally got together as a couple officially on the 17th. He is very careful about dating because he's really old fashioned, but the dating was worth every second of the waiting. =]
