Everything depends on this
The Words I write must express me.
The Sentences I shape must be eloquent.
The Diction must be in the form of my voice.
[why is this so hard?]
My future relies on college
And admission relies on the essay.
But what do words and sentences mean,
Compared to the being that is me?
[capturing personality is an art]
It seems impossible to take
My soul and put it into words.
You type cheerful on the page,
But it doesn’t compare to the smile
On my face [a real smile is rare]
They say a picture’s worth a
THOUSAND words and they are
So. Right.
The pictures of my personality are many,
But to sum them up in an essay
[inconceivable]
