yet wondrous in discoveries
from Asperger's to Fragile X
Angelman's to Rhetts syndromes
unique in still waters of life.
Structured in many issues
schedules to follow closely;
high functioning in different areas
mystifying our thoughts in wonder.
Obsessive structure and order
thought by some as compulsive;
disciplined in time and placement
fear of certain places or things.
Many are thought to have shut down
because sometimes they don't communicate
but with the technologies of today
vocalizations are fragility spent ~
[dynavox, PECS, talk box, switches, etc]
Creative joys filled of surprise
shining from sensory explorations
You're an enlightening gift of discovery,
don't give up hope; keep prospering.
Author notes
My dear one I hope this helps - please know Austism isn't a hinderance, even though it may feel like a set back on the essences of life you and everyone with it is a blessing of their own unique accord.
the items listed in the [ ] are a variety of assistive technology uses for vocalizations for persons without speech abilities as well as autistic persons who have a different way of communicating.
