Bronze - G.S. - You Light Up My Life
Laying half asleep within my crib, a faint tune plays in my head. The song coming from a musical mirror, with a seagull flying round and round. I feel footsteps hustle across the floor, as Grandma's chores are being completed. Also hearing Grandfather's newspaper, rustling, with each turn of the pages. I drift away into my dreams knowing that, a comforting hand is always near. © Cara L. Greenlee, All rights reserved http://allpoetry.com/poem/3727288

------------------
I always have dreams about this time and other times spent in Florida when I was young with my grandparents.
My Grandmother gave me this mirror musical box with the magnetized seagull when we sold the place due to her ill health when I was eighteen. I still have it 10 years later and it still plays though the seagull is long gone.
The song it plays is You Light Up My Life. My Grandmother since has past away but each time a pass by the mirror I wind it up for her.
