Becoming The Brave Explorer

After such a long relationship,
Had built up through the world explorer,
Our decision to meet to rest our eyes upon new face,
Not knowing what to expect,
Or what to really think of whatever it is we may see,
All nerves aside and preparing the mental state,
Building up my bravery to walk through those doors,
To find you sat wearing the clothes which you described,
Knowing instantly who each other was without any words,
You were taller than I imagined with broader shoulders,
Slender and handsome with an infectious smile,
You were walking to where my feet had frozen to the floor,
My mouth strangely felt dry and eyes beginning to twinkle,

He stroked my face with his fingers with surprisingly tidy nails,

He seemed so warm and friendly he leant forward,

And I caught the scent of his cool methol aftershave,

Drew the eyelash curtains closed and embraced in a kiss,

A kiss that was tasteful and passionate,

Thoughts that chased in circles about why I allowed it to happen,

For a first meeting that jumped in with all fours,

Pleasure of which I had not tasted in such a long time,

His essence that I absorbed was like electricity,

Energy for my fire that needing stoking up and re-kindling,

Romantic walk along the nearby park hand in hand,

Hardly taking our eyes off one another,

He had such a power over me that made me so submissive,

I felt helplessly smitten with just a few hours in my hands,

Six months down the line, I am here with him and happier than ever,

All thanks to that bravery and courage I had to meet...

The man who changed my life forever...

written about someone I dated online and always wanted to meet, but although it's long passed, I still wonder what it would be like if we had met...

I really like the way this prose piece flowed. I kept wanting to read the next line to see what would happen, and you kept it interesting. It's interesting how our minds go back to those places and replay events in our heads, sometimes good, sometimes bad... Thanks for enetering!
