Just Me

I am a Poet
a son
a father
a husband
a grandfather
at times a fool

I am a dreamer
a meditative
a realist
a Christian

I am white
but do not believe in colors
I am a songwriter
But I sing Accapella
I think I am a good man
but then again
that is not for me to decide
it for those to decide
who's life I impact

I am much deeper than this page can convey
I simply am just a man, a lowly poet
with a love for words, song and life

    ty for entering! i can tell by the theme of your poem that you are a very humble person with extraordinary gifts that you don't gloat about. i love the conclusion stanza "I am much deeper than this page can convey..." genius! it flowed beautifully as well!
