Through These hazel Eyes
Walking through the snow,
I see a new, fading light,
I see through others’ eyes,
I find a new insight,
Feathers falling from the sky,
Showing me another world,
I look in mystery,
A new life has unfurled,
Face to face I appear,
To see an angel’s eyes,
Reflect the light from my own eyes,
Revelling in the tears one cries,
Reassurance is around us,
All peace is restored with a single smile,
Wake up to the pure shower,
Of smiles, that make love all the while,
Every single tear I cry,
Confirms my deeper, subliminal fears,
Then I think of you,
Your relief and your love through the years,
I look at the messages we wrote,
Scriptures across the wall,
Of love, pain, hate and joy,
You wouldn’t let me fall,
I remember the times we had,
Reckless, wild and fun,
Since then I realised,
It was a battle lost and won,
As I recall the days,
The laughter and the tears,
I remember you,
You erased all my fears,
As I close my eyes,
I wonder if you can see,
Through your diamond eyes,
What life is like to me,
I long to see life differently,
See a whole new world,
I still wonder why,
Love has refused to unfurl,
The young girl inside of me says,
You are beautiful she cries,
I smile, at the life I see,
Through these hazel eyes,
Walking through the snow,
I see a new, fading light,
I see through others’ eyes,
I find a new insight,
Feathers falling from the sky,
Showing me another world,
I look in mystery,

Author notes
I took a different POV on the prompt, and took a stab at finding your inner feelings. I have no idea if they are true but oh well. Lol also this poem is about myself that's why it's in the first person
