A Nations For All

Should the wrongful deeds of the few
their miss use of power untrue
in deception and control of men
bring a country to its end?

All those poor forgotten and meek
stringed puppet middle class weak
thirst in dry suffering streets
like a dry water emptied creek

Are our nations poor and repressed
political victims being suppressed
people manipulated by richer greed
pay the price of corruptions deed

Cannot the dragons head be severed
the leaders wrongful plans endeavored
they lead us down the path of the damned
Vengeance on a nations people scammed.

Who would think todays world could be so screwed up, have we not learnt from all of our past mistakes, god forbid should our children not learn from ours, what will be left for our grandchildren... you have scored yet again with this piece, worthy of so much more than a HM...

There are those that suffer and those that cause the suffering. For the latter, they will get their just due in time. You have written in wonderful rhyming quatrains. Your words ring true, and the flow is effortlessly written. A superb entry into this contest. Someday the meek will also receive their just due. This is a powerful writ poet. Thank you for this entry and I wish you well in the Comp.

From the chaos of the creation to the confusion of today i sometimes wonder just what we have learnt. We progress as civilized people yet we just never seem to learn from past mistakes. We still have this greed to take more but then wish i knew how having more will make me a better person or the world a safer place to live.Thoughts you have raised to ponder over as i wonder which nation will next dominate the world. Well crafted. Good luck in the contest.
