mi tierra es mi vida / My land is my life

Eyes of deep sensual foliage
Sadness seen from within the caverns
And shores of stability
Este cuerpo es mi vida

Smiles of reciprocal desires
Intoxicated by this fertility
armamentos abren para mi abrazo
Intimate satisfaction, an impression made in sand

Society’s images stroked softly
vivir dentro del corazón
Faces of historic ancestry
Holds firmly to traditional conceit

Combatir esta lucha y la dissension
Hearts left on this bleeding throne
Torn by this loving soul
Sacrificed for the continued existence

This body is my life
Arms open for my embrace
living within your heart
Battling this reality with strife

Author notes

All of the Spanish lines are combined in the last verse. This came to me and I had to add Spanish to it.

    unique

I appreciate that in poetry. I hate when it all sounds the same. I liked how you used two different languages and puts a twist and shows emphasis in the words penned.

    Happy Hoildays!

I think it was cool how you used spanish in here, but i don't think it was effective; however, i did like this.

Este poema es hermoso! Vine aquí de su competencia. Estoy alegre, maravilloso! La metafora esta de dos personas de diversas culturas que esten en amor. Mi título sería “Cultura Caverna”.
