When we were all in the gym,
Locker-rooms; to be exact...
Changing then leaving to play some ball,
She took foul shots on my back.
"You stupid dyke" she said to me,
I didn't understand why,
But those words; they hurt; a lot,
I broke down and started to cry.
I understand now why it hurt,
Because somewhere down there deep,
I like other girls; I am bi,
Its a very hard secret to keep.
Now some people know but those who don't,
Say things like fag and butch and dyke,
Sometimes its only a mild sting,
But sometimes; its a huge fucking bite.
How much it hurts is crazy sometimes,
But because of friends like you,
I'm still pumping blood and walking around,
I'm holding on and making it through...
Thank you.
