Night to remember
Empty Coffee Brandy, smashed
Dunkin Donuts cup
In a random pile
To the left of the storm drain
On plain brown wrapper
With box of Big Mac
Ripped inflatable doll breast
Devil's centerpiece
Author notes
A friend of my brothers was riding a bike in Portland Maine in 1977. I was walking near him. We saw the aforementioned pile. They had been swirled together by the wind from passing motorists, as if they were an arrangement in the middle of a pervert's dinner table. We laughed uproariously. He had his 35mm camera, and said he must add this picture to his "Fuck America" series of photos. I have always wanted to get a hold of a copy. It was a sight to behold.

One mans trash is another mans treasure! The laughs you guys got from this outrageous pile of refuse, are going to last a lifetime. That "IS" something to treasure... with or without the pic! And the memory has spawned a very contemporary Haiku chain...
