On how my heart and soul had been broken.
I was longing to depart from this world
But you got out in time to rescue this girl.
I was low and humiliated as I suffered.
Then you rendered me with a dose of comfort.
I was secretly crossing the line of wanting to break.
Then you started to repair my atrocious heartache.
Inside I felt like a mortal on a crucifix
But you helped remove the core that made me sick.
You made me test my strength
And acknowledge issues that lied beneath.
You’re an amazing army of one standing alone.
Tying up the loose end of the souls that roam.
I see your beautiful, tattered, angelic wings.
Which you try to hide from a selfish society.
Your essence sinks into my bones.
Reminding me I am ruler of my throne.
It’s no wonder why I love to sleep.
Many nights I walk with you in my dreams.
I know it will happen… I’m not sure when…
Will you help pick up the pieces of my broken heart again?
I ask the Heavens to bring you to me.
So I may find shelter under your wings.
