Poem About My Character

I look into your eyes but only see pieces of you
half-written parts and not a portion completed
legitimate humanity, I suppose
since I use the mirror of myself to pen you down.
But words do not allow for jagmented chunks tossed on a page
(or for inventive words like jagmented)
so you will remain in the dream-like quality of truth
until the mind deceives enough
to gloss you with the fabrication of fiction.
Maybe then you will be counted among the living.

Author notes

I haven't been on here in a while...truth be told, I haven't had much to say. Even this poem was written over a month ago. I'm too exhausted, both physically and emotionally, to write. My pen, which has not been silent for the past 6 years is deathly quiet. There's just...nothing to say, I suppose.

This is powerful and tells a story of how you are feeling at this moment in time. Sounds like you have plenty to say and it will come. Great job!..Hugs, Patty

You have nothing to say because you are confused.
And your confusion asks too many questions?
The secret is never be confused, for there are no questions.
    And therefore no answers.
Just be you, in every day. And never confuse your heart with the questions that your mind asks of you.
Be happy lil lady of who you are.
