Miles of sadness stretching between us
This distance is wearing me thin
Too far it is, too far away
Too far for us to begin
You say love runs wild but does love exist
Does it even exist in our hearts?
I say love has power so take it all in
Take it in before lonliness starts
I try to deny these feelings I have
If I love you the pain only grows
The distance between us is too far apart
It's not my fault it's your heart that mine chose
You seem unaware of the danger of love
So control it and hold it with care
I'd give anything to be close to you
I'd die just to have you right here
Author notes
I think it's obvious that this one is about loving someone who lives far away, in this case, it was another continent.

Thank you so much for your entry in our contest 'Love' to look for the best 'rhymer' on Allpoetry, in our opinion.
As we have had nearly 100 entries this has been a difficult contest to judge and although not a winner, we thoroughly enjoyed reading your entry.
We hope that you will enter the rest of the rounds in our Rhyming Extravaganza.
All the best Sue and Jeff.
