Once upon a time,
my heart was yours
and you were mine.
Walking hand
and hand amongst
the poplar trees
our hearts never
missing a single beat.
Scared, was I to ever
love someone as boldly
as I had loved you,
falling in love with
you in and out, and
out within; in frozen
moments of time.
Captivated, was my
heart by words never
spoken by your tender
lips; why should they?
When I knew what it was
that you were always
thinking?
Mesmorized, by those
hypnotic eyes that
oozed out love for
me.
Enchanted, was I by
your powerful embrace
that left me woozy and
drunk with love.
But sadly, all that
has come to pass;
and like a fairy tale:
It was all once upon a time.

I think that i can relate to this poem well. As soon as love comes it leaves your life. Seem's as if it was a dream. I liked this poem alot. Very well written and good job.

) where everything seemed so beautiful and ethereal as if they were living a fairytale...
