This is what you see when you look at me,
this picture of a beautiful girl with tears in her eyes.
I never give something like that to people who never matter,
so when you see this person you are what I care for.
I hate the fact that this moment will pass and you see it,
so I want to scream in your face to be there.
Hold me to what this picture really is,
because I want you to see this picture never more.
I only do this to keep to myself some more,
not to hurt you in ways the heart may only see.
Keep me in this promise you made to yourself,
so keep this to yourself and we can keep moving foreward.
Read between the tears that fall from my checks,
whisper their secrets in my ear and hope nothing escape.
Nobody else will know the pain and suffering of knowing,
prominent force of nature over your soul.
Don't make me hold them back from freezing rain,
for the shards will petrify my own skin and cause more.
I only see this as wisdom from the drips of truth,
a fantasy of bleeding tears of red ribbons.
Tears.

hmmm...
I found myself looking not so much outward as I did inward at myself. Did you write this speaking to someone? If you did I hope they find a great message in it because, I found something screaming at me. Your quote as well was wound into the poem well. The best of luck to you and I can't wait to see the end.
