The Holy Spirit

Pen in hand I sit and wait
as the spirit guides my words,
teaching me, but why
my questions go unheard.

As the spirit guides a surgeons hands
it guides me just the same,
unknown to me the words that come
they flow through me like rain.

The spirit brings forth miracles
we find through out the world,
unselfish earthly sacrafice
done without reward.

The flow of love and compassion
that opens heavens gates,
will bring forth many angels
as their heavenly home awaits.

My spirit wants the world to know
to listen for his call,
to hear the whispers in our souls
to rise before we fall.

To take up the armor that we possess
to fight a righteous fight,
for the spirit will lead us on the path
that brings forth our birth right.

The worldly things we are to resist
turn away from worldly lies,
to find the truth look within
it can't be seen with human eyes.

Faith is not blind it is ours to see
when we look within our souls,
for in goodness does the world evolve
in goodness will it grow.

Prayer is the sacred tool I use
with rosary in hand,
it has led me on my journey
though at times I do not understand.

For I too live in a worldly way
I have struggle so with sin,
I too have turned away
which caused such pain within.

Many times I have cried of shame
because I know,
my lord, my savior and my friend
forgives me as I grow.

I do not think you could possible know how inspiring this is- I have tears running down my cheeks. I had just prayed this morning to God, "God, how does a person go on, when he honestly can't go on, but has to. I see this as an answer to my prayer for all I do from now on. Thank you for a really great poem.

Very good. We pray and God leads us through life, even when we do't understand what he's doing or where on the road he will lead us, or why. He sends us many angels, along the way to guide us. And, prayer as an angel. That's a new thought.

    Ah Sweet Serenity

Your words go right to the heart of the matter & so aptly describe the inspirational Spirit. Is it not lovely to see clapping hands on the page when we're not sure anyone's out there heeding Him through the inspiration He shares? Thanks so much for hearing Him through me! What a joy & delight. I'm new to the AP scene & when I found there was a place I could get my 500+ lyrics & poems pubed & get a free copyright I was pumped! What a great provision for a Writing Mission! GTG. Very busy. Have all this new lyric to work on & all the older stuff to get online & I'm having PC & printer probs on top of it all! I didn't catch a name but I'm sure we'll meet again. BFN ~ In His Love, Kathie Oh...BTW...by the Title I knew you were a kindred spirit!

I don't think it is a matter of turning away.
Your belief is always there really, we have no choice to not believe we are human so we have to believe in something. It is just a matter of when life brings obstacles and trauma, or tragedy. That is the time we need it most, but things hardly ever go our way.And prayers are seldom answered. I think the trick is learning to accept what real life is, the pain, the loss, the tragedy. But always what we see as evil or bad, I find solace and content in the fact that there is always a good also.In every negative I have always found the good. But if you let the tears of hopelessness take a grip. That hole is very hard to climb out of.

Beautiful words of wisdom. Great poem showing that the Holy Spirit guides you as He should others. You also brought out our struggles and trials, and failures and the fact that God forgives in all.

    Truly Compassionate

In Truth the Holy Spirit guides us continually, from every waking to every sleeping moment, keeping us aware and showing us that we care. It leads us in the paths of righteousness, from which Angels may arise, if they but stretch forth their wings and fly. I thank the Lord Jesus every day for the gift of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
