but you just
insist

for at least
getting that right.
I was just
trying to save you
but my efforts
are always
well wasted
on you.
But maybe
if you didn't
go in with your
eyes closed
your heart
worn ragged, patched, and frayed
on your sleeve
you wouldn't get
the same reaction.
But you've always
been an easy
target
a bullseye right
on your forehead,
with every archer
in town
lined up to
make a fool
out of you.
well
you do that fine
on your own
...if only
you would listen
instead of jumping in
head first
never knowing where
you're gonna land
never knowing
if you're gonna
fall.
Why can't you
just understand?

just listen?

such a sad poem but i know what your saying we just want everyone we love to not make the same mistakes we did and it hurts for us casue they dont listen and we already have felt that pain. great write

Such sad heart breaking words of pain and loss...why don't we ever listen when the heart starts knocking...we just don't...love over rules!
