Dusk to Dawn

I can't
say
a word.

The day has ended
and night has come.

We belonged in dusk.

But dusk was short
by a mile and a day,
although we drew it out

by creating definitions
only we could understand.

The dusk has passed,
and I'm silently waiting
to see if the dawn
will bring more freedom

and a truth like no other.

This was so dark and so... perfect! I love it.

Yeah, I know it's been a while since I've commented, but I'm really glad I read this one!
