I love the way you make promises to change because it gives me hope that things will be better.
I love the way you interact with our children because it shows your weakness' and inner-child, your ablilty to love.
I love the way you talk about our future because it gives me assurance that we will still be together in the days to come.
I hate the way you say "I love You" because sometimes I wonder if you really mean the words you are saying.
I hate the way you hold me because of the simple fact that it is only for a moment.
I hate the way you make promises to change because that only means that you haven't changed yet.
I hate the way you interact with our children because I fear the day you won't be here to do so again.
I hate the way you talk about our future because sometimes I wonder if we even have one in the first place...

I wrote this about my husband several months ago when we were going through some really tough times. We are doing so much better now thanks to God. Please let me know what you think about this poem. I haven't written in really long time.
