I Want To Live Again

A father's fears coming to a boil
Shaking hands rougher than intended, seeming to soil
a pretty blossom, the symbol of love
hide the evidence of our humanness from the eyes above.
Even at our worst moments of desperation
Life springs eternal in quiet celebration
housed in our secret places
hiding and hidden
the tiny acts of kindness we do
shine out unforbidden.
Someone keeps watch in our darkest hours
Someone shines love which surpasses all other powers
Our hearts are known, our worth is immense
We are eternal through the ages, no need for recompense
The price has been paid we need only to pray
our lives are before us, to be shared each day
Every passing moment a blessing when we look with new eyes
The world can change with a heartbeat, to live is a prize
We may never know whom we have touched
so serve all in kind, life cannot be rushed
Give love soft as a petal's embrace
Feel its warmth shine down on upturned face.

    True

In a heartbeat we can be gone never to recapture the wonders of life. The shame is most always think it will never be them. But I love the way you brighten up the day with this sweet piece of poetry and wisdom
