Christmas poem

As I walk through this frozen land,
I carry a Christmas gift in my hand.
As it gets dark and i wander in the pure white snow,
I can see many different colour lights glow.

The season of joy is here for a while,
I think of Christmas and begin to smile.
Yes it is the time of Santa, Rudolf and the Elves,
we should all be happy and enjoy ourselves.

I walk in the city and what do I see?
Happy people all around me.

Adults and children you shall hear,
ti’s the season that brings people near.
Friends, family and even foe,
trust me children for I do know.

So now you have heard my call;
...merry Christmas and joy to all.

Author notes

When I wrote this I felt quite jolly

Nippin on the ole Egg Nog was ya, this is a jolly write, reading this may ease the burden of the endless flow of bills the season has brought.
    Where's old St Nick now.
