I heard god speak to me
whatever or wherever you find me i'm there i'm here
the most powerful thing ive ever heard
see,
i met jesus when i was 9
i followed the bible when i was young and felt its Lord of Lords in church
but.....
god was distant for me there. if he was there, he was too busy anyways, guess thats how a kid thinks,
so i found god in my cats eyes and purrs
in squirrels and leaves and rivers
I noticed god watching when I played the piano
I felt it in baby's laughter!
i soared with god on the roller coasters!
wherever i was, if i called
i was answered and blessed
i was loved by perfect starry nights
and comforted by a sandy beach
i cast a circle and met with gods!
i prayed to mary and she held me in her arms
i asked her about her son and what it all meant
-god said-
im in you because we are the same
im everywhere, we are everywhere,
anywhere there is love, that is all there needs be!
rules and names and stories...are man-made myths
i am part of it, my true self is its counterpart
but god is not just MY higher power
thats the best part~!
it's the touch of lovely in everything
its that genuine smile that we're born with!
its in those coincidences that seem so perfect
maybe those religions i "tried" in highschool
they are expressions of this amazing creativity
its what miracles are made of
its perfection
what keeps us on this planet when we just want to stop
our inner goodness
thank you i'm alive
that i get to share and embrace and live in
universal love

i dont think god can necissarily be defined but.. ive come to find Hope and Love in every situation in my life, as long as i look for it....and it can take any and every shape. my spirit connects w. the greater force, no matter what you wanna call it, and this is my "spiritual finding"

RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SOUL!
WHICH IS EXACTLY THE WAY I FEEL ABOUT RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have a hard time thinking that an all loving father-creator-god-universe-first unified force (again words are finite and really far from describing what really is the essence, but like its not the word but the meaning behind it, infinite and divine) would be conditioning love to either only two outcomes, one the ultimate glory, the other the ultimate punishment if you dont follow him and have another road you might have been upbrought with..soooooo that means that according to that perspective then a pretty good bunch of fellow human beings in this planet are casted to fire and brimstone just because they have other beliefs...If I had many sons, and one chose to be an engineer, another an electrician, another a banker, and another simply an artist, I wouldn't condemn the rest because only one chose engineering just like what I am...there are many roads that ultimately lead to the good in all, which by the same token and no pun intended, is simply universal..so...finally! a very awesome and eloquent description that reinforces what I belive in and why I believe in this way....you pinpointed exactly how I also perceive god everywhere, a lot of times not necessarily inside or confined to a building or a shroud or a book, but right inside of you and everyone, in every raindrop, when your airplane pushes you against your seat and the speed begins building up, and you trust and let go, knowing you're in his hands....and in those as you mention perfect coincidences, my gosh, a true 10 for a write like this, for all that can make you reflect about!..thanks!..oh and by the way, I'd like to share with you something I posted here some time ago...pretty much along the same arrows of thought!...
