Dreams

As you wander in the clear moonlight,
the glassy pools gleam silver white.
And as you watch the ripples spread,
you turn to gaze at stars instead.
The twinkling lights cover the sky,
you're stricken with a wish to fly.
To spread your wings and seize the day,
To explore the world and run away.
Mystical lands, so full of peace,
You hope this dream will never cease.
And with your mind, so far away,
You're woken by another day.
And the mountains, bathed in red and gold,
protect the secrets that you hold.
And thinking of another day,
again you let your mind astray.

This is amazing...I kinda let my 'mind astray' too in this way...and just let myself dream of lovely things...and what is more captivating in this poem is its nice flow and beautiful rhymes...

This is a well crafted poem the metre is measured and you are left with a sense of flowing timelessness.
    Well done.

    Now, that's

what I'm talking about. Your 14? My neice just turned 17. The entire world is in front of you. No wonder you're awake, you're on the other side of the Tropic of Capricorn (or is is Cancer?) and the bloody hemisphere!
