Let it be with me

Missing image

Lord,

Even let my silent words
                    be filled

                            with love.

Let me trust in the power of love
                    to protect my heart and,
                            through love,
                                        turn the unloveable
                                                into the
                                                            beloved.

And then,

let me never forget the
                     danger in feeling
                                too secure...

Let it be with me
                       just as you say
.

Author notes

Yes, I see it all now:
I'm the Lord's maid, ready to serve.
Let it be with me
just as you say.
~ Luke 1:36

Very truthful piece. We must be mindful of our wants and needs and not let them become entwined, lest we lose sight of our goals!
