I Sit here Waiting

I sit here waiting
For something that won't come
I sit here waiting
Even though it's all in vain
I sit here waiting
For that one miralulous chance
I sit here waiting.

I sit here waiting
And wasting my time
I sit here waiting
When there are other things to do
I sit here waiting
For that little bit of sunshine
I sit here waiting.

I sit here waiting
For my one miraclulous chance
I sit here waiting
Knowing I'll mess it up again
I sit here waiting
Wondering, Wishing, Praying
I sit here waiting.

Well ignor what DannyBoy says. I liked it =) it is very nice...a little dull but it had some emotion in it.

no offense but i felt nothing with this poem, except the slightest bit of depression. There was absolutely no imagary, since i don't like giving bad reviews i'll look at some more of your poems, find one(hopefully) that will be filled with imagry a/o emotion

Usually poems that are very repetitive tend to sound awkward to me, but here it had a very good effect. I can tell you put your heart into this too. I especially like the third stanza with the "Wondering, Wishing, Praying" Very nice, I can tell you really felt this. ^_^

The second stanza was definitly my favorite, but the whole piece was moving... it's what everyone does - they all sit and wait for something amazing to come along instead of making it happen themselves.

Thank you for sharing and keep writing!
