Greetings to all
and blessed be
I have chosen a
place for me to be
The God of impatience,
is I, that is my heart
Skipping two or three
pages in life is my art
I have no grace in taking
things as they come along
I have to know what lies
ahead, before it goes wrong
The sands of time keep
sifting through the hour glass
I worry, not about now, but
what is coming to pass
Will it all be pleasant or
fall apart, who knows this?
In my quest foretelling the
future, so much is missed
I am not concerned, with
today, and all it has inside
As the God of Impatience, I
must do as I am glorified
To ponder on all things unseen
and what is approaching, now
So, I control the destiny of
what's upcoming and change it somehow...

I must say, you have personified impatience beautifully. I never considered impatience to involve looking into the future before, but looking at it that way I suppose it is a need to know what will happen next as well as being unwilling to wait for something you already know will happen.
Best of luck in the contest! -

i love the 'skipping pages' bit!
good ryhme scheme, like the idea, the anthropomorphisation (phew, that's a long word i hope i spelled it right!) of impatience is a brilliant subject matter. nicely written.
all the best.
