Ain't We the Best?

He sits behind a presidential desk,
grinning like the buffoon he is...
Cameras roll, flashbulbs flash,
he thinks he's quite the whiz.

He's forgotten all the lies he's told,
used America to wipe his evil butt.
In the kennel where the doggies live,
he is the lowest kind of insane mutt.

"Believe what I believe." or else,
worship at my Republican porcelain bowl.

Forget the lives of the young soldiers,

Forget not the hope he stole.

Might makes right and I rule the world,

thinks this presidential ass. . .

his compatriots are beginning to see,

and to leave the jerk with no class.

Yup, other countries hate us

and the reason is clear as morning air,

"Unless you have something we want,

the president just doesn't care.

"Oh, say can you see"

the path to hell he is paving every day.

And when he's got all he can from us. . .

this heinous man will throw America away.

Yes. He knew from the beginning ...

his plan was to subvert the Constitution and eventually destroy the American way of life, and he's done a bang up job so far.

    You need to fix this:

Forget the lives of the young soldiers,
and their promising lives he stole.

The second line basically just repeats the first line. You need to find a better line for one or the other.

Other than that, you've done a good job here.

Thanks for entering and Happy New Year.

You were so right - I stumbled on that line myself. I have fixed it and much appreciate your help.

There are seeds of wisdom growing free here in this truthful piece. As for the last two lines message. I can see he already has.

Your poem tells many truths, my friend. We can only hope for salvation with the next election, and keep thinking...what goes around, comes around. Good luck in the contest. Your poem is great. Keep up the good work.

I see you're secretary of the Bush fan club? Nice one, my friend--tell it like it is!

Your poem inspired me to enter also. Where is a grassy knoll when we really need one? If I was a fanatic I would see him as the antichrist... as it is I see him as anti-life. Thanks for reading and for inspiring.

    Unfortunately ...

you hit the nail on the head. Although he's already "throwing America away." It's a very sad time we live in.

HE IS OUR WORST NIGHTMARE. I urge everyone to vote this coming election - and Democrat is a sane choice. Thanks for reading.
