I watch the sparrows feed, upon the tree
A tallow cake, to swarm and sing alight;
As winter storm, suspends the chills of rain.
The snows full weight, beneath the old banshee
As she screams in mists, a frozen shrill blight.
The tree so meek, the sparrows call remains
In merry laughter, it seems to breathe so free
Resounds the tones of idler springs, so bright!
The spell of winter woven myth, retains
A moldy book, so worn its yellowed page.
As songs a sparrow sings, of light refrain,
Remind the passerby, the storms full rage.
Still I watch, in the mix of winter pains
As back the snow returns, my idle gage...
In a list
Let me know How this makes you feel, what do you think?

oh dear...
this is lovely...your poetic voice fits this so well...
your words are well chosen and lead the reader directly into your world of somber and yet beauty all at once...
difficult task for most...but not your talented pen...
I really like this write...
Blessings! Tammy
