I blink against
blonde strands not mine
as I press against her back
my cheek bows
against the bare skin
of her shoulder
and I wrap an arm
around her
holding her hand
in mine
my heart beats steadily
a staccatto rhythm
against her back
and I lie still
closing my eyes
as I match my breath
to hers
I love her
how can gender matter
when the love is still the same?

I love it. That is one of my favorite lesbian movies. Thanks so much for writing this one. I love it. I love the last two lines:
how can gender matter
when the love is still the same?
That is just so true. Thanks for entering and good luck to you!
