Lies and deceit, boy you were good,
conned me in a way no other could.
But revenge is a dish best served hot,
I'm so glad your getting what you got!
I thought you loved me, unlike another,
you even took me to meet your mother.
All those things you bought for me,
yet still I was blind, I didn't see.
You wormed your way like a slug,
and fed me with love like a drug.
Till one day, I decided to assist,
I didn't tell you, knowing you'd resist.
Thats when I found your other 'wedding band',
I was so mad, I couldn't understand.
Bigamy is against the law for a reason,
to me, you may as well committed treason.
Now you can linger within your cell,
things for me have turned out well.
Papers pay a fortune to those who snitch,
you my love, have made me rich!

I was reading your poem which is so good, and it made me sad to think of someone treating a lady like that. Then I read the ending of your poem and I laughed so much.lol. Absolutely Brilliant !! Brilliant wonderful imagery here. Such a sad piece too, but with just desserts at the end. I love the rhyming, it is brilliant. Keep writing you are good. Love the background too.
