Beautiful son
I admit your gifts are small
And it is only you and I this year
Your friends will have more
Presents to open and
Our tree is tiny
And made from wicker
I have made your life hard
In the past
And have been the least ideal mother
You had to be without me for a while
Yet we will be together now
Spending the first Christmas
In our new home
And for me this is perfect
We will eat together
Open our little gifts
And perhaps watch a film
We will laugh
Be warm
And Hopefully
You will be happy
And forgive me
For I love you
Please tell me what you think

Awww! This just shoes that you don't need big wonderful presents to be happy. I'm sure he'll forgive you, you're too loving to not forgive.

Best of luck in the contest

Your words are heartfelt, dealing with the truly important matters in life. I can relate to this, being deeply moved by the ways of my girls who are a beacon in life for their friends to consult and seek comfort. As a parent such things are rewarding beyond anything else. I hope you two have a great Christmas and may the good feeling last long beyond those days. Thank you for creating and sharing and good luck in the contest. Take care,
Chris

Thank you for this entry.
