Till now, it was his voice that had me spellbound
Tender exchanges of sound, questioning if love was what we had found
Within minutes I will see him, alone and face to face
In this whirlwind of time, rationality seems gone without a trace
On the nervous lookout, at this crossroad I anxiously wait
For the moment is here, near seconds will reveal my fate
Oh please be all that I have hoped you would be
This young girls fairytale lingers between dreams and reality
The sun reflects on the windscreen of his car, prolonging our meeting
No turning back. He is here now and there's no reason for fleeting
We smiled before we spoke, he looked as curious as me
Strangely not awkward though, adrenalin pumping so silently
Words came and went at each perfect moment in time
As flowing as our first date was, I still awaited an obvious sign
He was everything I'd dreamed of to not only walk with, but to fly
Why then did I still need it written in the sky?
This was a fork in the road and it wasn't till we had to part
that the signal I was searching for seeped into my heart
It came without having planned a second date or even kissing him
The moment of truth was when I realised that I was actually
Missing him........
