I dream in smoke, as winter storms so breathe
a din beneath the nightly winds, so cold
so stately oaks, to dance inside the dark,
and travel on the snow filled path of seethe.
For rage beguiles the wretched heart, so bold
chaste it, or lest it burn the veins to spark.
I walk in blizzards wrath, the snow cajoles
my soul, to muse over the falling snow.
So failing softly in my sight, console
this loss I feel, in the quiet that I know.
So chilled the bones, of this frozen parole
to lock me out of time, and break the crow.
I wait beneath the falling flakes, to stroll
and see the broken bird, a moss plateau...
Author notes
I simply wondered what a reversed sonnet would look like... Alas, this was a bit of fun, but not a sonnet,
simply based on the form in reverse...
