Unbelievably broken
I start where I began
I can’t believe I left you there
I can’t believe I ran
I’m not asking for forgiveness
Or that you understand
I ask only that you listen
And I’ll do what I can
I don’t yearn for you
Not like before
That part of my life is gone
Right out the door
Although seemingly easy
It was hard
What I did
Revealing the reason why I ran and hid
It wasn’t your fault
I couldn’t blame you
It wasn’t something you said
Or a thing that you do
These things always happen
They’re never easy
How else would you remember?
Why I make you sick
I didn’t want to hurt you
I never could
But with the things I’ve done
I guess I knew I would
