~My Little Grandson Trent~

My darling little grandson Trent

is such a precious little boy.

The time with him that I have spent

has brought me so much joy.

He makes cute and funny faces

while I hold him in my arms,

and in my heart he places,

all his love with all his charms.

We'll have so much fun together

with cars and trucks and trains

I'll be there in stormy weather,

and through all his growing pains.

God blessed us with this baby boy,

and I'm so proud to say,

that this grandma will enjoy,

my grandson Trent in every way.

I Love you Trent

from Mema

A lovely picture of your grandson and wonderful poem to accompany it too. Something he will cherish I am sure when he is older; a lovely gift from his grandma. Good rhythm, rhyme and flow in these lines; sentiments well expressed.

This is such a beautiful dedication to your grandson... maybe you could make him a scrapbook of poems for a later birthday - I'm sure he would love it! (then again, maybe you already had that idea - hehe)... I love the sentiment and the rhyme

    Keep writing

Thanks for your sweet comments on this poem, I actually gave this poem to my daughter for Trent at Christmas in a frame and so he has it in his room hanging on the wall. Thanks again!

that face alone is worth three yellow clappy guys, but since I am here I guess I could tell you what I think of the poem ... that is if I can drag myself away from this adorable angelic face ...lol Oh, yeah, the poem... wait, one more look, okay, wait, just another peek, okay what was it ya wanted? Isn't he adorable?
Okay, okay....the poem, gotcha covered. yeah yeah, I forgot what it said, it was cute or something, but hey that baby up there, it is just precious!

Just kidding dear, the poem was beautiful just like the baby it was written for and I am sure it will be placed in a book somewhere for him to cherish when he grows up. Well done my friend and congratulations grandma!

Beautiful, simply beautiful. It makes me hurt though. All of my grandparents died before i had been born. I have had many grandparent-figures in my life though. He is a lucky boy, congratulations.

This is such a sweet poem, and would have a perfect place in his baby book, I think, if his mother keeps one for him. That photo is too cute! He is blessed indeed to have a grandma dedicated to loving him throughout his life. Thank you for sharing this!

Aww, he is precious, and he's blessed to have such a loving grandmother who writes these kinds of poems about him!! My family was just gifted with a new baby, as well, from my Aunt and Uncle. It's amazing how happy the little one made my grandma when she was holding him in her arms. It made Christmas that much more special.
