The Bali Compromise
So the world must continue
To wear America’s yoke
A road map with no targets
My God! What a joke
Can you follow a map
That has no destinations
Should we agree to no goals
Just for public relations
How many disasters
Before America see sense
Must we watch the world dying
As America sits on the fence
Ultimately the world will recycle
For I’m sure God has a plan
But because of American tenacity
It likely won’t included man
For humanity could perish
On a rock enveloped by gases
For American indifference
Could annihilate the masses
So “Old Glory” might flap
In a breeze of dense CO2And to hell with humanity
For that’s apparently their view
So the world continues suffer
Under the U.S. purgatorial yoke
A road map with no targets
My God! What a joke

I totally agree, this poem is very truthful to our current situation. The work was very well done, thanks for writing it.

AGREED
Given the past 7-year history of the Bush-Cheney Administration, I recoil at having to admit to those in other countries that I am "an American" (U.S. Citizen). I am a fan of the U.N. and admire Al Gore's work of warning about Global Warming.

somehow we've forgotten that we as humans are caretakers of this Earth and nature herself. When will people learn to honor what's around them?
I hear you clearly my friend!
Keep penning on one stroke at a time!
Bill
